Good morning, everyone. Well, like the rest of you, I checked the news and was horrified and saddened about the tragic shootings in Las Vegas. As I’ve said before, this isn’t a political or religious blog, so I’ll refrain from making any comments, other than sympathies to the victims and their families.
And perhaps a suggestion that if you’re not directly involved, don’t get caught up in the media frenzy. Say a prayer, light a candle, be grateful for your life.
Oh – and perhaps make a donation to the American Red Cross (blood or money) – they’re one of the most reliable “first responders” out there, every time.
OK, to be a little more cheerful, I didn’t gain 20 pounds at our church’s festival yesterday after all – despite lots of temptation in the form of oodles and oodles of kielbasa, fried chicken, cookies, pies, etc. A great time was had by all!
And my weight this morning is (drum roll, please):
Same as last week. Oh well, all things considered, that’s actually not too shabby. Especially since I’m planning to have leftover Key Lime Pie for breakfast in a few minutes!
I’ll keep it short and sweet today. Hang in there — and try to have a good day, no matter what!

Yeah, I always figure no weight gain after a big meal is a win! Sounds like fun and that’s the main thing.
