OK, so yesterday (Day 5) my weight dipped down to 193.5, a satisfying plunge from Monday’s 198.0, right? And yet, in just 24 little hours, I’m back up to:
195.8

Again — it’s a fluctuation, and I’m NOT worried about it, because I’m doing the averaging! Math time again!
Well, I’ll say it, ’cause check this out! Here are my weights from Day 1 through today:
Monday: 198.0
Tuesday: 196.8
Wednesday: 196.8
Thursday: 195.4
Friday: 193.8
Saturday: 195.8
Added together: 1,176.6, and DIVIDED BY 6 (6 days): 196.1
So my AVERAGE weight for the past 6 days is 196.1, which isn’t too shabby!
So there! Anyway, it’s Saturday, and Mr. 50by60 and I have a busy weekend ahead of us — graduations, potlucks — so if it’s all the same to you, I think I’m going to skip tomorrow (Day 7) and just rejoin you on Monday for the regularly scheduled Weekly Weigh-in.
But now that you know my Secret Weaponized Weigh-in Technique(tm), you’ll know why I don’t get too upset when the poundage goes up or down a tad. “Averaging” makes everything better!
