Day 3’s walk was, like Monday, another combination errand-walk. This time, the errand was a holy one. Today is the feast day of the Three…

Stooges?
NO! The Three Holy Hierarchs!
Anyway, they’re these guys*:
and since (as I’ve mentioned occasionally, with Uriah Heep-like modesty) I’m one of the cantors at our little Byzantine Catholic Church — not to mention the only one who doesn’t work for a living — I rode the fabulous Orange Line bus from Reseda to Sepulveda, then walked to and from church from there.
On the way back, I stopped at this fabulous Tarjay
for a “pit stop” and to use up most of a Christmas gift card (thanks Becky and Jon!). And here’s my pedometer at the bus stop as I head home (notice the bright sunlight):
So Day 3 is done! Now tomorrow, for Day 4, I was originally going to stay completely home and post some ideas about how to exercise indoors, for my cousin Margaret, who pointed out it’s a little difficult to walk outside when it’s below freezing.
But I forgot I’m taking my car (Decrepit Blue) to get new tires tomorrow morning, so it’ll be another “errand-walk” from the garage to home. Oh well, maybe I’ll save all those brilliant ideas for the Friday Five — it’ll still be cold then, right? I mean, everywhere but out here in sunny California, right?
OK, that’s plenty long enough for a mid-week blog post — I haven’t even had lunch yet! See ya tomorrow!
(*I’m happy to report there were marginally more people in church than in the icon, though not by much!)
